I’d say his words were very poignant for the moment. My 2 cents… he made that ridiculous statement and then realized he couldn’t walk it back. That’s part of the reason for the ceasefire that in all honesty was never a ceasefire. From what I understand Israel wasn’t even involved in the discussions leading up to the ceasefire. The strait literally never opened, even though the administration said it was, and bombs still dropped everywhere. He used it as an off-ramp because there was no other option, or he would have been forced to make due on his promise to “destroy a civilization”. There’s a minority that think thats a good idea and I think/hope he knows better. I believe he also realized he could manipulate the markets some more in the process. It’s appears to me that most, if not all of his statements are to manipulate markets. At the very least it’s a byproduct that he’s definitely taking advantage of. He and his buddies in the know are becoming ultra rich from it. I’m curious how much the Trump family’s net worth in just stocks and crypto value alone have increased since taking office.
