I’ve had an ol tom vest for the last 15 years or so. I upgraded last year, I looked at all brands but ended up going with a time and motion i believe it’s called. I’ve probably hunted with it less than 20 times and really had liked it overall until now. I noticed a few weeks ago the strap that secures the pot call pocket had frayed to the point it was no longer securing the pots, I moved them to the other pocket and now it’s done the same thing. Then this morning when I set down against a tree I noticed all 3 of my strikers were gone, they are held in by a magnetic clasp and I guess if you bend just right they can fall out. Luckily I found 2 of the but lost a jlh striker. I reached out to ol tom, will see if they do anything about it.

Buddy of mine lost all kinds of calls and strikers using that same vest.

they are bad, I bought one last season and lost one striker and the pot call holder did the same thing. I had to sew it back on and now I put two strikers into the slots to hold them tighter and also put 2-3 of the magnet flaps over them to help hold them. I'm in the market for a new vest

Last one I had the box call pocket was at an angle that would let it fall out

Don't stuff a turkey in any of these vests that have a pouch to carry a bird in either. The stitching nor the material can take it. Tears after a little bit of use. My bad shoulders can't take the pain of carrying a turkey thrown over them anymore either. I bought a turkey tote last year that works real good for any of you folks with bad shoulders. Peregrine makes them & you place the bird in it & put the carry strap over your neck & shoulder. Nice.

Have the same vest. The 2 lanyards for locator calls broke this week. My box call hits the ground from time to time also. Other than that I guess it’s alright. Probably going to upgrade to something nicer next year.

Quality is not a factor in most things manufactured now. Turkey vests are no different. I haven’t used a vest in years. I have a old beard buster belt that I have used for years. It does the job wonderfully and keeps me from wearing a hot ass vest.

I've got a Russell made super elite that's at least 20 years old and I have used it heavily. I removed the seat and just use the rest of it and it's made of polyester and doesn't weigh a pound by itself. I never trusted the pot or striker holders from the beginning; I just keep them in the big pockets. I expect it to outlast me.

Have the same vest and had to do some work on the pot calls and reinforced the stiching. Get you some waxed cotton and a big needle and you'll be good to go. Sucks that we pay good money and the craftsmanship sucks, but that's everything now.
