So the man threatening to blow up electric power stations and bridges? Why did he wait?
Seems to me get that first? Are there rules when you’re killing/kicking tail? Why not stop all of it the first few shots a month ago? I don’t know. Y'all do understand that, when power stations and such become fair game, you will need to get ready to pay more the material things we so dearly love. Our price for aluminum jumped another 18% yesterday. Iran has now bombed two aluminum processing plants. Even if the processors are left unharmed, they can't function without electricity. It won't just hit the automotive guys. Aluminum is used in everything from appliances to toothpaste, cosmetics, and antacids. And aluminum is just one item. So we don't wage war against aluminum producers because it will raise prices ? mmmkay. That's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is understand that prices are going to continue to go up, at least in the near future. Our price on ingots went from ~$1.60/# to ~$1.92/# in a week. Before the Russia/Ukraine war started, we were around $1.10. It's also harder to get, not 100% because of the war. The tariffs had their desired affect of bringing people back to US sources. The problem with that is the sources weren't ready. They have yet to get to the point where they can keep up. At least that is what we are seeing. Others may be seeing different because of the aluminum they use. We have to use certified stock. And this applies to things other than aluminum.
