21% of aluminum used in the US comes from the middle east. Damage to the two plants was by drone and damage while significant, did not fully stop production long-term, at either facility.
Plants were damaged in Abu Dhabi and Bahrain. Turning out the lights in Iran will have little to do or effect on aluminum production. Iran does export some electricity to surrounding countries but it is very little and subject to constant blackouts and interruptions already, so taking out the power plants in Iran will have very little long term production effects on anyone other than the Iranian people. It will greatly impact oil production and transport from Iran but Iran only produces 3-4 million barrels per day or roughly 4% of global supply and OPEC would be more than happy to increase production to capture that additional market share.
