So the man threatening to blow up electric power stations and bridges? Why did he wait? Seems to me get that first? Are there rules when you’re killing/kicking tail? Why not stop all of it the first few shots a month ago? I don’t know.

Here is my opinion: Because he doesn't want to hurt citizens and only wants to kill their leaders.

Here is my opinion: Because he doesn't want to hurt citizens and only wants to kill their leaders. I think that was the plan early on. I think we figured the people would rise up. Unfortunately they have been conditioned to living under a terrorist regime for so long they are afraid to do anything. It will be the same with North Korea. It was also the same in the Confederate South. The slaves never rose up and the only time they fought against the Confederacy was after they had been emancipated, fled to the Northern side or were physically freed by Union forces, trained to fight, given a uniform and a rifle. Even then they were all commanded by white officers. To get a society that has been enslaved to revolt is a difficult task. You not only need to change the situation, but you also need to change people's mindset and that's a harder thing to do.

Maybe because we will be the ones paying to replace it all, one way or another.

Trillions spent, nothing gained. Like every other war we have fought in that region.

In WW 2 cities and civilian populations were carpet bombed nightly. Not saying that was good bit times have definitely changed.

I was reading an article this morning that the leadership in Iran is asking the younger civilian population to create "human chains" around the critical infrastructure in hopes that will deter the bombings.

How quickly we forget that these are the same people that sent little kids out to clear mine fields in the Iran - Iraq war. To quote Donald Trump just a few weeks ago before all this started and he was trying his best to deal rationally with them... "These are very difficult people to deal with." He is right on that one.

I saw that article too and saw where they had executed some teenagers for the protests earlier this year. Folks asking kids to form human chains for protecting nuclear plants rate right up their with the pedos in the Epstein files in my book. They deserve the same, a wood chipper feet first.

Don't forget both theirs and iraq's use of chemical weapons during their "war".

I seen last week were they lowered the age to 12 from 15 to join the IRGC to use firearms.

Y'all do understand that, when power stations and such become fair game, you will need to get ready to pay more the material things we so dearly love. Our price for aluminum jumped another 18% yesterday. Iran has now bombed two aluminum processing plants. Even if the processors are left unharmed, they can't function without electricity. It won't just hit the automotive guys. Aluminum is used in everything from appliances to toothpaste, cosmetics, and antacids. And aluminum is just one item.

21% of aluminum used in the US comes from the middle east. Damage to the two plants was by drone and damage while significant, did not fully stop production long-term, at either facility.
Plants were damaged in Abu Dhabi and Bahrain. Turning out the lights in Iran will have little to do or effect on aluminum production. Iran does export some electricity to surrounding countries but it is very little and subject to constant blackouts and interruptions already, so taking out the power plants in Iran will have very little long term production effects on anyone other than the Iranian people. It will greatly impact oil production and transport from Iran but Iran only produces 3-4 million barrels per day or roughly 4% of global supply and OPEC would be more than happy to increase production to capture that additional market share.

So we don't wage war against aluminum producers because it will raise prices ? mmmkay.

What you are describing is what I would label Collective Stockholm Syndrome. I think that is a very astute observation on your part with the comparison to the Confederacy. Kudos.

I have far more faith in the current military leadership than DEI hire Lloyd Austin who was a decorated REMF and grade A+ vagina.
That being said this is the same intelligence apparatus that didn't know there were literally enough Taliban standing around outside their forts to take the entire country in what seemed like 15 minutes. Guarantee that structure of genius is still largely in place. This is the government we are talking about after all.
I'm not against this Iran deal but this is not going to do down like anyone thinks IMO. It's going to be a process that will likely destroy the remainder of this Presidency and halt any progress against the Marixst Democrat Party.
The sliver lining is that we'll probably be sucessfull and in the end we'll be done with both Trump and Iran at the end of this term.
They didn't torch the power grid first because they falsely think that destroying the military would somehow keep the Revolutionary Guard thugs living among the people from rooting out dissent. The Islamic foot soldiers are still down at the street corner wearing civilian clothes and keeping a list of who they are going to visit in the middle of the night drag out of their house and cut their head off.
The answer is they should have flattened the place Day 1. No chaos. No victory IMO. You gotta make it so bad their Islamic foot soldiers understand they need to go home and protect their own families and stop worrying about doing the bidding of the regime.
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.
