Every year it’s the same: multiple posts across forums and FB about club drama, or someone at work bringing it up like clockwork, especially as the season winds down and even more if they didn’t kill a buck while others did. For the life of me I don’t get the obsession with digging into every little bit of politics and letting it live rent-free in your head.
You signed up knowing there’s likely going to be politics, favoritism, or some people who benefit more than others... whether you noticed it up front or not. It happens in everyday life so its’s almost guaranteed in a hunting situation, so why waste energy fighting it? I view my membership(s) as paying for a key, nothing more, nothing less. If the hunting I get isn’t worth that key’s price, then move on.
Getting wrapped up in what everyone else is doing ruins more seasons and memories than people realize. It’s a lot more enjoyable to mind your own business, hunt, and stay out of the politics. Ok rant over.
