Since the Muslims took over Iran in 1979 and established an Islamic Republic, that government has been screaming Death to America/ Death to Israel till today. If that is not enough to see what is happening to Iran, has not been brought upon them by Iran’s own actions and behavior then perhaps You are Ok with letting Iran obtain nuclear weapon and use it on Infidel’s as Iran thinks all non-believers in Islam should cease to exist. I would much rather take the fight to them on their soil and far away from Our soil to solve the problem of a Radical Iran.
Us meddling in their affairs is what brought this regime around. Just like meddling in others gave rise to Osama Bin Laden. Every action in the Middle East has a butterfly ripple action.
And yes just like was said, Iraq had nukes too supposedly. Did we “destroy” their nuclear capabilities last year, or are they “2 weeks away”?
You can be an administration who is friendly and works with Israel or you can be an administration that folds and acts as Israel’s puppet. We’re fighting their war, doing their bidding, considering a ground invasion, bitchin out NATO for not helping (NATO is a defensive pact not offensive) and Israel straight up said “nah we ain’t sending ground troops.”
We just need to stay the hell out of the Middle East and if president trump was a real negotiator he wouldn’t be screaming tantrums on Twitter/Truth. The phrase was “Speak softly and carry a big stick” not “give deranged rants on twitter”. In fact his Twitter/Truth Social episodes make it so easy to show dozens if not hundreds of cases of where Trump contradicts Trump, like the Tweet I shared.
Let's please try to separate the actions from the Trump Derangement Syndrome. Let's just leave Trump out of the action for a minute...
I agree that NATO is a defensive organization.
I have said on here many times that Iran could have been our natural ally in the middle east had our CIA not screwed all that up when we over threw Mosaddegh in 1953. Unfortunately that's water over the dam and we cant put the genie back in the bottle.
I also agree that we should try to stay out of foreign entanglements as much as possible.
However... I will state this again. Let's look at hard evidence.
1. It is clear to even our wimp ass European allies that Iran was hell bent on not only obtaining a nuclear weapon, but they already had the capability to deliver those thousands of miles away.
2. They have clearly stated their goals of destroying not only Israel, which like it or not are our allies, but they have also clearly stated their goals of destroying us over here in the United States.
I don't know about you, but if there has been a menacing looking crazy dude out front of my house with a bunch of weapons screaming at me, threatening to kill me and my family, I'm eventually going to do something about it.
People on here carry guns to the store, to church, out to eat with their families, just in case they are threatened, but when the United States gets threatened with "Death to America" we're not supposed to do anything about it.
Historical perspective for a moment...
Folks on here probably don't remember when it was announced that South Africa had nuclear weapons. Yes they had them in the 1970's and the 1980's. We didn't go in and bomb them, even though we were concerned about nuclear proliferation. You know why? Because they weren't threatening to destroy the US or our allies with them.
