Question #1. Based only on their professed religious beliefs would you prefer to live next door to a Jewish person or a Muslim person?
Question #2. Why, as to your answer to #1?

I can't answer the question. I have met folks of all religious persuasions that were complete buttholes, and I have met folks of all religious persuasions that were pretty cool people.

It's like asking if I want to live next door to a black person or a white person. Too many variables.

Any declared religious community is not going to be easy on the non-believers. My BIL has a place in Clearwater that is surrounded by a Scientology community and he has to put up with their weird crap all the time. They walk around wearing body-cams where ever they go.

If you are familiar with your neighbors enough to know their religious affinity you are too close to them. Any discussion of religion in person beyond family and close friends always leads to disruption. And even then its not a good idea.

Neither, I live where I live so if you’re not invited you don’t get in.
There religious beliefs, don’t suit me. I believe good fences make good neighbors.

That contradicts the Great Commission.

As for the original question about living next to a Muslim or Jew - if they are nice people, then it wouldn’t matter to me. It would be tough to have a neighborhood BBQ with Muslims and/or Jews (if they follow a strict Jewish diet). Because I do love pork.

I've ate many bacon and pork foods with Jews and Muslims. They are like Baptists and fishing. If you dont want them to eat all your bacon or drink your beer you better bring two of them.

I am like an old man that told me one time. I had rather live in a single wide trailer and own a 100 acres than have neighbors

How do you share Jesus with people? The sacrifice Jesus made for us is worth the disruption. You want to see a disruption? Watch the Passion of the Christ today. It’s a great weekend to be reminded of it.

Good answer Pwyse . Salvation is the most important thing in a person's life. I like your zeal for presenting it. As DL Moody said I like my way of doing it better than your way of not doing it. We are not in charge of the results. You will be criticized by some but it is a Christian's main duty

#3 I don't have close neighbors, because I am a curmudgeon and my property allows me to.

I prefer not to live next door to an asshole or nosy Karen. Don’t really give a shit what they worship as long as they keep it to themselves.

Given the choices, I'd choose Jewish. Never known a Jew to strap a bomb on and let an Iman talk them into killing my kids because of some ancient displeasure.

Never had a reason to ask questions about something like that before. I've had some good neighbors and some bad. Not sure what their religious backgrounds were. I'd rather have all the bad ones surround me than a muslim.

Because I know what the muslims teach and know also that as soon as they have power over me, they'd kill or enslave me and my family. They would not be peaceable and defend me. Because that's not what their religion tells them to do.

No matter how much they claim otherwise. That's something I won't have to worry about with Hindu, Christian, Agnostic, Athiest or any other religion but one.

Aside from religious background, I prefer a quiet neighbor who keeps his place looking good and not a junkyard. One that when in need I could count on to protect my home, money wife and children. And I would do the same.

But that's just me.

Yep! This right here.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.
