... Apparently some have forgotten everything Iran has done to American soldiers starting with holding Americans hostage and then the marine barracks In Beirut all the way up until present day I was a field comm Lance Corporal with the 8th Marine infantry. That was my unit. Had I not transferred to the 4th Marine Artillery just prior to the 8th's deployment to Beirut, I wouldn't be here posting on the food forum. I know a bunch of those guys that died there. I broke down and cried that day like a little baby. 220 Marines, 18 sailors, and 3 soldiers died that day. I hope Trump keeps on bombing Iran back into the stone age... ... Defuniak Springs, Florida near I-10 around lunchtime. ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/Y0Z1ch9M/gas4.jpg) lol. I know the guy that owns those stations there at the Hwy 331/I10 interchange. Bought up every single one of them at that interchange over a 5-7 yr period. Gouges everyone for 25-30 cents/gallon, all day, everyday. Day he closed on the last one, the pricing model changed, prices jacked up and the additional mark-up has stayed there ever since. People think, "well all these stations are the same price" and they pay it. Drive north or south 10 miles and you can get your gas for $0.30 to $0.35 cheaper. Funny thing is that once he did that, the Loves station 12 miles west on I10 at Mossy Head, raised their prices to match his and has kept them there too. Sounds like a good business man.

Term limits need to happen. That will help clean the government up. I think we will also have to wait 5-6 years and see if Iran is still the same Iran after this. If they don’t exist in anyway that resembles their pre trump war state, I will say all this is worth it. If they are the same old Iran in 5-6 years, then it will be obvious this war had ulterior motives and the goals given to the American people weren’t met.

Agreed on the outcome not being known for some amount of time. Using other Middle East Countries as proof, the likely outcome is not good, but time will tell.

I dont think a wholesale change in either of their governments will help that situation either.

We would have been so much better off with Kamala… . Seems most of this forum would be happy.

Term limits need to happen. That will help clean the government up. So we need entrenched politicians to vote themselves out of a job and generational wealth? Never ever ever going to happen. Nothing is going to get fixed regardless of what party is in power. We just have a slower death with Republicans which is preferable but definitely not optimal. As far as this war goes I've got no opinion because I've purposely checked out but if it's justified it will be one of the only wars we've fought since WW2 that wasn't started based on lies and propaganda. The military has been used as mercenaries for the elite since that time. Most of those serving have done so out of honor and duty but unfotunately their government leadership is corrupt to the core.

They said we would run out of oil by the year 2,000. Yep. They been saying the world would run out of oil for awhile now. We are burning it faster than ever before with no sign of running out. From 1977: President Jimmy Carter delivered his Address to the Nation on National Energy Policy, better known as the “Moral Equivalent of War” speech. Seated behind his ornate desk in the Oval Office and wearing a sober pinstriped suit, he offered a litany of dark predictions: “The oil and natural gas we rely on for 75 percent of our energy are running out.” “Unless profound changes are made to lower oil consumption, we now believe that early in the 1980s the world will be demanding more oil than it can produce.” “World oil production can probably keep going up for another six or eight years. But some time in the 1980s it can’t go up much more. Demand will overtake production. We have no choice about that.” “We can’t substantially increase our domestic production…” “Within ten years we would not be able to import enough oil—from any country, at any acceptable price.” “If we fail to act soon, we will face an economic, social and political crisis that will threaten our free institutions.”

Term limits should be put on a ballot and let the voters decide the outcome, but we know that will never happen.

I agree with what you said about term limits. But that’s what we need. Until then, the government is gonna government. No matter which side of the isle is in charge.
