What kind of PPE do you guys use when spraying herbicides such as triclopyr, imazapyr, and glyphosate?

Why do you need PPE to spray glyphosate?

Been spraying since I was 16 and I have found out there is no way to avoid the mist if you are spraying. No matter how hard you try the wind will swirl and the mist will be all over you.
I always wear cotton coveralls, long sleeves, glasses-usually sunglasses, and cotton gloves. This has worked for me for over 50 years. I have seen some folks use the white disposable chemical repellent coveralls and I assume they work great but they will get very hot on you if you are spraying on a hot day. As soon as I finish spraying I shower!
I can't stand a thief.

21 years spraying, the biggest concern is prolonged exposure to gloves, boots or something else you will have on or use when you’re NOT spraying. many hack and squirt videos have guys wearing leather gloves, that’s the source of exposure for however long he owns those gloves, same situation with shoes or boots that are not rubber.
i spray lawns and have to be careful on windy days with liquid applications for drift, using a drift manager (keeps the droplet sizes larger) significantly reduces the chances for the fine mist to get on me or nearby plants
Give me bout 15 more minutes, I was dreamin about beavers.......... Si Robertson

I don't spray, but have used dusters and sprayers for garden at one time in planted rows. This allowed me to keep track of containment area. The most effective I found for those where to find a day without any variable wind and very little light one direction wind. Start on rows on downwind side and spray low to ground while walking backwards away from mist. With rows it was easy to not walk through mist. If winds picked up, changed direction, or started swirling I would mark the spot and try another day. In woods there are no rows, so it would be tough to mark your containment areas. Certain chemicals are dangerous. If you can find a plan to not use I would suggest that route. This may be an an application were arial or drones would be best used with proper ppe as safeguard. With the best ppe still chance of inhaling it. Be careful and best advice is leave it to the professionals for large applications. Spraying peas with 10% sevin is not the same as spraying these de-foliates. There is one made hy China that they won't even use in their own country, but we still use on US soil. Some contaminate the ground and don't vanish in a lifetime. Be safe!

A cab tractor and make sure everything is working properly and calibrated correctly with clean water before adding chemicals. I’m now using a 350 gallon pull behind sprayer and it has a fifteen gallon spot sprayer with a coil hose and garden nozzle on it labeled Clean Water Only! For cleaning yourself up.

Safety glasses and a codpiece. Codpiece should be first, followed by the glasses Don't know what a codpiece is.....let me refer you to my personal expert to explain: https://youtube.com/shorts/gPPOadPebpY?si=aHFvGhAP7-ZVLK1r

I was out on my property yesterday doing some trail clearing with glyphosate/triclopyr and noticed that I was coughing. I'm using a 3.5 gal EGO backpack sprayer with this nozzle to keep the mist down. Am I crazy or am I inhaling this stuff? ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/PJC4tZKq/head.png)

I wear long pants, long sleeves, and a mask. I Don’t always wear gloves. I sprayed a lot one year and got a bout of asthma, and I contributed it to the round up, but yes you’re in the elements too.
