Well mission accomplished yesterday on getting the gate in. I cut 3 holes in it and put traps I am afraid I got the holes to high . I may have to cut one more square out and drop the trap since the water has dropped so much

I stuck a 16 foot cattle panel in each end as best as I could in the quick sand I was standing in. Anyway I go by there yesterday and the water is 12 inches below the bridge on the upstream side and 38 on the downstream side. I had to hook my truck to the upstream panel and pulled it out. They had it dammed up so bad it took us 4 hours to bust it all loose it was horrible. Anyway I am going to build a heavy frame with smaller mesh wire the exact size of the bridge opening and push it straight down with my tractor. Any ideals how they did that with a cattle panel on each end? There had to be an opening somewhere deep or they had to climb over it. Operation epic fury is fixing to be opened up on them though

Have you ever tried the Dunnier Panel sets at culverts ?

Oh, and look for a run going under the panels. Worked a large culvert someone had put wire in front of. They were going under it so I notched it out over the run and blocked it with a 330. Dead beaver.

Sorry I been out of the loop. I should have taken more time when I put the wire in last fall. The bridge was 10 foot wide and I just dropped a 16 foot panel across it and curved it out where the wings curved out from the bridge. It had worked all winter till this month. I cut another one exactly 118 inches and placed it in the opening and sealed it up . Right now it is almost dry but I got to go back with traps . My old ag teacher called me this past week he has a pond by his house with beavers. I caught 2 out of it and enjoyed talking with him. Did not realize he was only 8 years older than me. That made 75 for year

Water is so low and silt so thick I flipped the panel over and put the holes up high . Never had one try to go through with bottom of trap 2 inches above water line. They refused to climb through which I thought was interesting. I got some house remodeling going on and my wife his hindering my pursuits lol

lol. I don’t do this much outside of our own property any more although I did remove one from a local pond last week. Caught 4 beaver and 1 otter from 1 culvert on our property. I did order some 10” and 12” RBG to try. I’m thinking they may work well in some of these fish pond slides that are more suited to a round trap

Got 2 on the duck farm yesterday hoping to get it dry in time to plant corn. We have been keeping our 4 year old grandson on top of several more things so my time as been limited. Wife is going to take grand daughter on field trip today so him and I are going to be left unsupervised. I have already got him some chest waders lol

Well was cleaning out a huge culvert today and I stepped in a hole where I had rolled a log out. Water went over my hip boots and filled them up. The water was swift. I finally took my shovel and buried it as deep as I could and pull myself out

I guess that is what I get cnc for destroying good habitat. Actually I was working to get the water down off a county road. My wife is usually with me on the bad ones.

I've tried and tried to get jobs through Marshall County with no luck. They'll go clean out a culvert 3 times a week with a trackhoe though

I don't understand that . Jackson county calls me and he doesn't have to worry about it again. I would go talk to the county engineer and tell him how much money you would save him. I would even talk to the commission
