Auburn won against Nevada and now is set to play the next one against Illinois State. We got a big lead and then proceeded to let them back in the ballgame. Lack of fouls was unusual. Nevada had a big guy who knocked our guys down with elbows to the head. Never got a flagrant foul called.

Auburn has played better, for the most part, during the NIT than they did most of the season. Jovic has been playing more like what was expected of him during the season. And Freeman has stepped it up too. Will be interesting to see who sticks around after the season and what additions young Pearl can make.

Pettiford still doesn't look as good as last year. I was on the road headed home last night and listened to the whole game on the radio and they praised his performance for the leadership he showed. Basically said he is doing more this year for the team and not himself. Of course, they gushed over Jovic's improvement.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

They must have watched a different game. I didn't see him make a shot, saw him miss some and turnover some. He did make one great block to prevent a dunk, he can jump thats for sure.

Pettiford played a great game last night as did his teammates. Overton couldn't miss a 3. Getting some good experience, playing and coaching. Maybe they can win a trophy.

No matter what you're in, from NAIA D-III to NCAA top tier, the goal is to win a championship.
Only a small number of teams end the season with a win. Better to be one of those, even with a "Ehh, whatever" trophy.
