I find that surprising since he has long streak of “making the cut”. I think last time he was close to not making the cut, he withdrew from the tournament.

Golf is better when Tiger is playing, and at least reasonably competitive. At this point in his career, he is just a side show. Its been many years since he was competitive, and there's no chance of a 50+ Fred Couples like showing at the Masters. He's done. And unlike Jack, Tiger just coasts to the clubhouse when he's not near the leaders. Jack had as many 2nd place finishes in majors as he had wins. Both records that will NEVER be broken or likely never even approached.

I don't care for him, but golf is better with Tiger in the game. Even if he's not on the leader board.
