I chopped up some a few weeks ago, and found the smell repulsive. I thought that maybe it was bad. This evening I cooked some Zatarain's cilantro lime rice and it had the same horrible
stink bug smell. I had to throw it out. I then Googled about stink bugs and cilantro, and it seems to be a thing.

I cant walk into a Chipotle much less eat there cause they use so much of the dang stuff.
It used to be just a side spice, now its loaded into dang near everything cause its so cheap and easy to grow. You can grow it between cracks in the sidewalk.

The “soap” taste is determined by your genetics. It’s even been pinpointed I believe. I feel bad for those who aren’t able to enjoy it.

I like Cilantro but that is not why I don't go to Chipotle. Been there one time with my family and in-laws. We were the only ones in there and they had the music so loud it was bothering all of us and I'm mostly deaf and that was before I got hearing aids. I asked them nicely if they could turn it down and they said no because that is the way people like it. We ate and I sent an email to corporate and they said that their customers like loud music and sent me a $15 gift card. I gave it away and have never darkened their doors again.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I love cilantro. Mountain Boho makes this Lime Cilantro slaw that all of us love.
Oregano is the one for me. I can handle it in moderation, but too much and I get that whole "soap" flavor thing...
