I know this has been discussed here before (i did search) but I can't find it. I have a friend wanting to purchase a tract of raw land, who is the best loan company for vacant properties? Thanks in advance

Most of these suggestions will have limited foot prints compared to huge national outfit like PNC or United Wholesale

I used Alabama Ag credit

I second this. I just used them to purchase a tract in Butler County and can't recommend them enough! If the property is in South Alabama give Jake Tucker at the Bay Minette office a call (251) 580-8678

They’s a bank down in enterprise that is giving foreigners 0% interest on poultry farm loans….so I hear. Farm credit doesn’t like it.
But maybe you could check and see what the say..

I used Southern Ag Credit, but a couple podcasts I listen to advertise a national company called Buckland Funding that also specializes in land loans

Depending on where you are located. These folks do a good job in South Alabama:

I used First South Farm credit in Luverne. It was easier than getting a car loan. They just had to have a buyers agreement and my last two pay stubs. About two weeks later we closed.

Alabama Farm Credit was great to work with.

The guy I worked with understood my objective and actually listened too, and understood my plan of buying 700 acres a year and a half ago. I was able to do it all with zero money down, have a fair interest rate that keeps dropping (for now) and will have the whole thing paid off in a year or so most likely.

Oh and I got a nice disbursement check from them today. 😁
