I dont understand this whole situation. I do believe Iran should have been taken out years ago. They have been the epicenter of terrorism for almost 50 years. They have been responsible for killing 1,000 of Americans. With that said, why are the gas prices going up in this country? Less than 5% of the crude used in this country comes through the Straits of Hormuz. Also, it has been said many times that the US produces enough crude to sustain itself. If we can sustain ourselves in crude, why is that 5% causing such a increase in this country?

The Government could just go all Socialist and put a cap on the price of a gallon of fuel.

If we were truly an isolationist country, kind of like the biggest Switzerland you've ever seen, plus we had all the resources we would ever need, it makes you wonder how we would handle it then. Would our gas prices still go up anyway?
