War eagle double Willow Leaf. White Skirt that fades into bright green. Catches fish on every body of water in the state of Al.

I fish more War Eagle than just about anything else right now. Nichols makes good spbts too. Hard to find these days, but the old Mann’s Classic 1/2 oz Colorado/Indiana will flat out still catch them. Wire on it is super thin and you get a ton of vibration. If I’m power fishing and need a kicker, it’s what I’m throwing.

I’ve had too many War Eagles break on me so never throw them anymore.
I’m a Nichols guy now.

Hildebrandt, double willow leaf with #3.5 & # 4 gold blades chartreuse white. War Eagle in same color but they do break more often.

The only bad thing about a war eagle is if you catch a 4 lb or bigger fish they will destroy it and bend it all up. They catch fish though.

Strike King didn't own Terminator or make one by that name, unless it was back in the 1970s.

Terminator came out independently, with a great spinnerbait, and is now owned by the Rapala corporation. I still have some around in a box somewhere.

That is correct; new Terminator Titanium bring about $25-30 each now

I had no idea there was that big a difference in spinner baits that supported a 15-25 dollar cost difference.

Educate me!

I am the buy once cry once but I have never seen a comparison to support the bait cost. I understand the build cost of cheap wire and ball bearings. What else supports the value?

Folks will tell you this is about "bend resistance". Bass will leverage on a weak or soft spinnerbait frame. Terminators were pretty tough.

This. Those old terminators were pretty tough. If you really wanna test the durability of a spinnerbait just hang into a mud fish with one. I've never seen anything that can take a brand new spinnerbait and destroy like those things can.

Hot summer nights, get a black and red or black and blue spinner bait with a Colorado blade, you can catch some big girls like that. Slow fishing but when they bite she's probably gonna be big. I think it's Manns I use. You can't find them anymore it seems. I'd have to make sure that's the name I have it written down somewhere
