I Just purchased a Christensen Arms FFT in 7mm Back Country with a 16" barrel. Im hoping to be able to have a short range to medium range (500-600 yards) set up that is light weight. What is yalls recommendation on a lightweight scope to match the lightweight gun that gives me the 500–600-yard range if needed and low light clarity when hunting in the woods? Currently looking at the Leupold VX-5HD 3-15x44mm. Opinions?
A good friend of mine has that scope on his tikka superlite 308 and he loves it. I looked pretty hard at one when I was scope shopping for my 7mm-08 but ended up going with a zeiss conquest V4 3-12x56 and have been really happy with it so far.
