I have A,B, D(WellCare) and Inovative Plan G with Physican Mutual(gap insurance)

That’s another good ,and innovative like the name, supplement if you can have a higher deductible for the first few years. I work with Physicians Mutual too.

As far as part D, my uncle never got it because he didn’t take prescription drugs. Then he had a blood clot and diabetes as he aged and had to take prescription drugs. That’s when he signed up 2 or 3 years late and got stuck with lifetime penalty. When he aged in he could have signed up for the cheapest part D an available and changed to another plan during AEP if needed. Another thing to consider with part D is the plans don’t cover every drug. All part D plans have a formulary which is approved by CMS and a list of drugs the plan covers. CMS has requirements for insurance companies in putting formularies together. Formularies have drug tiers of 5 or 6 levels like generic, etc. There are limited exceptions to formularies that you can apply for with your physician in certain medically necessary reasons. There are also step programs where you may have to try a less expensive drug first to see if you can use it without side effects before another drug is approved. It really can get complex but these are things folks forget about when the drug they need isn’t on a plan’s formulary. Check the formulary to see if the plan has your drug on it. Many times some of the drugs may be in the formulary of a plan but some may not. Check before you sign up. CMS list all the part D plans in your area and you can find the information on the CMS website.
