hell the city of alabaster has approved a new subdivision on 119 across from veterans park.. approved it for 4000 houses..
lets just use round numbers here. 4000 home each with a minimum of 2 cars per house. that an extra 8000 cars on the road in the next few years. i
it will have entrances on hwy 119 at veterans park and on smokey road Did they also approve extending the 119 expansion down to that subdivision entrance? If not, that will be a cluster (already will be). I don’t see how a non-expanded 119 can handle that. A subdivision that large will take at least 20 years to complete. At the rate 119 road work goes, they may as well start now then. And maybe they will. I don’t live there anymore, but my parents live in a subdivision right where the expansion stops on 119. Based on the traffic at times when I go to see them, adding extra cars doesn’t seem doable
