This may be completely off your radar, but high school (and youth as well for that matter) sports officials are a dying breed. I currently call HS baseball and volleyball in my area and with the numbers of officials either getting out of it or not interested, you can call sports almost year round within the state of Alabama. I don't call as much youth or travel as I did in the past, but if you're willing to hustle and take assignments regularly then you can call almost daily somewhere. This is Truth
