Look at the quarterly profits of any major oil company... YES, THEY ARE SCREWING THE HELL OUT OF THE CONSUMERS!!!!!!! What's wrong with a company making profits? Nothing wrong with a business making a profit. Thats what they are in business for. I do think that most people/companies are so dang greedy that they will do just about anything to squeeze every last dime out of you. When it comes to gas, a product that you pretty much everyone needs to purchase it gets a bit trickier.
