I think most of them start off with good intentions. They just don’t have the character to resist when that Big money or Fine ass crazy woman comes a callin. I would like to jump on my moral high horse and say that I would be able to resist but honestly who knows… Maybe I wouldn’t.

Its this flesh. Our own flesh is our worst enemy. Theres no way to get away from it breathing but one day ill shed it and the temptation to sin will be no more. That right there makes me very happy.

Temptation is difficult to resist. Satan wants you to believe that he's the one you are fighting, but you're not. You are fighting your own Self, your own ego, your own carnal desires. That's the enemy.
When you master Self that's when you free your consciousness to become one with God. He wants us all to be reunited with Him.
This is why Jesus said, "It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God"
"When I say ever thing I mean ever thing." - Frankie

Well are there different degrees of sin? There definitely are as far as the laws of man are concerned but what about God? Can just a thought that goes through your mind be sin?? I would say no but Jesus said if you even think about a woman thats not your wife in a lustful manner that its the same as actually doing the act. Thats a pretty tough standard to live up too. Practically impossible. I think thats why He said it that way, to show that no matter what we cannot live up to the standard He requires and without the blood of Jesus forgiving our sin we would all be toast.

So why would you hold another person to a standard that God doesn’t hold them to? Or that you don’t hold for yourself? Edited to say: I did a bad job communicating what I was trying to say. The standard doesn’t change. But it seems like you are expecting a person to uphold that standard that you said Jesus himself was saying they couldn’t. Make sense? Clear as mud? 😂

Clear as mud? 😂 The bottom line is scripture says all of humanity falls short of the standards God set because of the sin that lives in every one of us because the first human Adam sinned against God and all mankind is descended from Adam and that sin was passed to all. The standards that God has given us to live by in the Old Testament and New Testament were given for one reason- to prove to ourselves that we need a Savior to pay the price God set for breaking those standards which is death, physical and spiritual death. Its not that God needs to be convinced we are sinners, He already knows we are, its that through out history we need to be convinced we are sinners and seek the Savior Jesus. Why else would God set standards He knows we can’t keep? So we can figure out for ourselves that we can’t keep them. The Pharisees in the New Testament are a perfect example, they ran themselves crazy trying to keep the law and I image some came close to keeping it but it didn’t matter because they may have followed the rules to a t but God said He didn’t know them because He didn’t have their hearts. Kinda like the “rules without relationship brings rebellion” saying.
