I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis about 20 years ago and they told me I'd be in a wheelchair within 10 years. Here we are sitting at about 20 years and it's happening. I have been fitted for a motorized wheelchair and am having one helleva time finding a way to transport it. I am down to one car which cannot handle the size and bulk of the power wheelchair and the carrier if attached to a hitch, because it would be at the limit for the hitch tongue weight(500Lbs). The weight of the wheelchair is 385lbs and I cannot find for the life of me a small trailer to use for transporting it. I'm not spending 3-5K on an open flatbed type. When I look at local ads and on Amazon(last resort) I see atv/utv 1500lb carriers for a really decent price, but they are not made for the road. The issue lies in that they all seem to be for towing behind a lawn mower or such, not a car. I have a 6 x 10" trailer, but it is to bulky and heavy for daily use to hall my new wheels around. Does anyone have any ideas as to where I can find a small 3-4ft x 5-6" utility trailer that won't cost an arm and a leg? I appreciate any leads and ideas.

Maybe one of the small Harbor freight trailers and take it to a welding/fab shop for them to put a gate and floor with tie downs on it. They have them down to a 3x4 with 1000k capacity.

The harbor freight one wont work. It connects to the hitch. I'd be a max tongue load out of the gate. Any other ideas?

My wife has MS and has had to use an electric chair for years. Hers is a Zinger. It folds flat and weighs about 50 lbs. I can put it in the back seat of my truck. I have put it in the trunk of an automobile. She has very limited use of her right side but can operate this just fine.

Tractor Supply has a 5x8 with mesh flooring that doesn’t look too heavy. 1200 dollars
