![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/MTXyVkRv/Screenshot-20260303-170857-Messages.jpg) Yes, its as big as it looks. Over 4ft wide where i cut the stump. Joseph is standing on the guys new concrete parking area taking the picture. When we pulled up yesterday, he said "is it just two of you?" He sounded kinda concerned. We worked about 4 1/2 hours yesterday and 3 1/3hrs today. Cut the big one and his little cousin post oaf left of the red oak. It was about 20" in diameter. Cut and hauled. If you dont know, thats quite a bit of work for an old guy and young guy to do in 8hrs. Joseph is working out real well. Super proud of him

Do you guys try to resell the wood i.e. folks with sawmills (such as yourself, firewood,…etc. Just curious cause - assuming the tree isn’t dead and rotting I would think there would be a lot of value in it.
And BTW - there is NO WAY I would tackle something like that. I’m amazed you could fall something like that and finish in 8-hours.

Got one bigger than that in my yard. Hope that joker never falls and I have to clean it up.

Big seems like an understatement. I know that the steep angle of the picture and the fact that you are further away from the camera than the trunk will distort perception, but the trunk at chest height looks wider than you are tall. The limb your on must be close to 24" and the one to the left, a fair amount bigger than that. I know those limbs are typically thicker than they are wide, but they're still HUGE. Even with a bobcat and grapple, that's still a lot of work for two men in a days time. Sounds like you and him have the teamwork down to where you don't have to have many audible. I hope you were able to drop the chunks instead of having to rope it down.

I hope you were able to drop the chunks instead of having to rope it down. It was over 4ft thigh high. The limb was about 18" thick. Theres a little distortion going on. But it was a very big red oak. I cut one once probably 2 1/2ft thicker than this one, i actually fell 40ft out of that tree.

I did dig several pieces of walnut and cherry out of that dump.
