I have a couple spartan cameras that don’t get very good reception where they are placed. Does anybody have any experience with stronger or long range antennas on cellular game cameras? I do t want to have to put one up in a tree. If they made one that was bigger that screwed to the camera it would be great.
Any help is appreciated.

I put about 3’ of 12 gauge solid copper wire on mine. Wrapped the antenna a few times and let rest go up in the air. It seemed to have helped for me.

I bought one of their (Spartan) extended range directional antennas because I couldn’t get a reliable signal where I wanted the camera. It is a pain in the ass to mount it and get it lined up. But I have had it out all season with no issues, even the live stream. They are great cameras but don’t seem to catch a signal as well as others I have used. I may try one of their other optional antennas if I have issues in other locations.

Spartan extended antenna or go to Herd360 and order one there. I put one on a 10ft piece of pvc pipe and strapped it to a tree and my service went from zero to two bars. Also, there is a way to find the nearest cell tower so you can point it in that direction, makes a difference.

I bought one of Amazon and put it on a pole mounted to the tree. Worked fine until I figured out tactcam on the same tree got service no problem so I sold all the Spartans. I still have it if you are interested.

Thanks. I was hoping to find a better antenna that I did not have to run it on a pole or up the tree.

Spartan has new antennas. I bought some and the one I put out this week works where it did not before. $20 each I think.
