Man, Mom is on a mission. We went to the funeral home and arranged for things. I'll be bringing his ashes back to Montevallo for interment. Got back to her place. I filled and moved her birdfeeders, burned two large piles of brush, Repaired a roof leak, filled a bunch of driveway pot holes and muddy spots with gravel and some other stuff needing doing. A local woman that helped with dads care arrived shortly after we got home. In the time it took me to do those things they'd removed damned near every trace of him from the home. Hospital bed, wheel chairs, walkers, cloths. I couldn't believe it. Shocked me a little.
I gathered a few important nick nacks and placed them in the gun cabinet. Told the woman to leave those things alone. Don't even go in the room.
She'd been damned near confined to her bedroom and the kitchen for 3 years because of his medical setup and his smoking. She reclaimed that house in a hurry today.
Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.
