With baiting for deer legal with cameras I see lots of turkey pictures posted by hunters. If you’re in a club or any situation where you know someone is hunting turkey over bait let me encourage you to report it. I can see where dude that cares nothing about turkey hunting shows up to blast gobbler coming to feeder everyday at 9. This and spotlighting deer would be about the only two game violations I personally would call in.🦃🦃

We are going to ban cell cams during Turkey season on our club next year. It’s WAY too easy to do exactly what you described so we are going to nip that in the bud.

They made trail cameras illegal on Forever Wild land this year during turkey season.

As some dude in Texas sits over a road in an Atascosa blind with cable television an a mini split set at 67 degrees an a freshly fed up road with about 300lbs of milo an scratch feed…waitin on one smugglin zz top step out for a bite to eat only to smoke him at 217 yds with a 22-250 an get a sip from his bloody mary

I reported a member of our club several years back. Told the GW his name, address, truck description, tag number, etc. GW called me 2 days later and said we won’t have to worry about him again!! Said he was facing several thousands in fines for all the violations the FE found. Apparently bait wasn’t all he was doing!!

I would too!! I’ve posted on here several times about contacting the GWs because we had issues at the camp. Lots of people lost their chit and told me that I was wrong for contacting them and was told by several that “snitches get stitches”. amazing to me that, even on this site, when I have posted about reporting to the GW that we killed turkeys with corn in their crops, I got several replies that "snitches get stitches" and "mind your own business". Very sad indeed.

I had old timer tell me I wasn’t a real turkey Fiji didn’t slip the line
We were having a land rep meeting because the old timer’s club was slipping the line and bragging about it out in public. Like they were getting one over on the millionaire club. Only a couple of guys was worth that lol

I had a good friend and huge turkey hunter tell Me tonight i would be shocked to know the number of people flat out hunting over corn for turkey
A 5 year old can kill turkey that way - no need to call - 0 challenge. Like shooting fish n a barrel

A 5 year old can kill turkey that way - no need to call - 0 challenge. Like shooting fish n a barrel You would be shocked. It got several times worse after legalization of bait for deer. It’s EVERYWHERE. A huge problem.

The attitude, ethic, and sense of fair chase is unlikely to change between species in many cases. I’m not surprised at all that a lot of turkeys are killed with a feeder within spitting distance. Even if the feeder is empty, they’ve conditioned those birds to be in that area and they will continue to show up looking for that handout.

If you hunt your green fields…….Dusk a strip in your green field. Turkeys love the bare ground and need a place to dust. This may be baiting to some.
