Yes the double uni will work to splice both lines. Yes you need a mono or floro leader on the end of your braid, three feet or longer. Tie it with an FG knot. It is a hard knot to learn how to tie but gets much easier after you practice. This knot will slide through the guides easier than other knots. Your mono leader lb test is specific to what you will be fishing for. This right here Gomer. When are you coming down? Next trip will probably be mid-March. Making a weekend trip with some friends of ours. He and I fish together regularly but he’s never fished saltwater. Hoping to get him on a few reds.
