Also, i bought a couple of cheap salt water spinning reels off ebay, neither made it through one jack. Bass rod and reel we were using to catch bait fell to a 20min fight with a big jack, also killed the fish. Youll be miles ahead to invest in a good Penn spinning reel suited for catching big fish. Youre gona buy one either way, best to just start out with one. Me being cheap caused me alot of trouble
