That's a fact. I had a club put me out for a similar reason several years back (I let a buddy that they disliked guest with me and he killed a good buck, and I brought a 10 year old and he killed an 8 point) but they made the mistake of telling me 4 weeks before the season went out. A couple of the guys who were openly pushing for me to go had "target bucks" they had been chasing all season. I sent them pictures of both of those deer taking a dirt nap before the month of January went out. I had left those deer alone because I knew they were hunting them, but if you want to play that game then we will play the game.

Had a dude who brought a prostitute from Selma to the bunkhouse late one night. I slept through all the drama but heard it was interesting. Had one dude openly baiting before it was legal and someone reported him and the warden shut down half the club until the corn was gone. Had a club president sell our nice club tractor and replace it with an almost identical one that was slap worn out and pocket the difference $ but one guy noticed and called him out. Same pres. was spotlighting evidently on the club during the week when no one was there and got busted. Had one members kid who would shoot every single time he went in the woods and would say he missed one, turns out he was just shooting for fun or for no reason and pissing everyone off. Had one guy who was wading across a creek which was the club boundary on one side and was poaching the adjoining farmers property until he got busted. Was signing out the same spot which was a gar hole but it was the only one that had shallow enough water that he could wade the creek and poach.

Had a guy whose about 10 year old son wanted to go home one night and dad told him no, kid got mad and went out and busted both headlights out of dad’s truck. He didn’t even get an ass whipping….

I'd a got wore out from here to kingdom come and back.

I don’t honestly know what I would do if my son had done something like that. I would have to walk it off for a while before I confronted him.

How do you not get the A whipping????

My girlfriend’s family in college had a nice lease with about 20 members. Her dad was the president and her cousins/brothers were the rest of the admin. Once she was 21 she had the right to become a member. Her dad told me the cousins were protective over the hunting and doubt they’d ever let me in. The dues were $700 and I could hunt under her membership if we ended up getting married. I paid the first year and they were very clear I’d better not step foot on the lease because we weren’t married. I ended up not paying the next year because money was tight and she/I had a wedding and honeymoon (Gatlinburg lol) to pay for. I have applied for the last 16 years to be a member and they have rejected my application. Her first cousin in the president now and he has basically kicked out every turkey hunter so he has the whole lease to himself.

^^ folks go crazy over hunting - hence all the stupid stories on here! I really liked 2 clubs i was in but even they had drama and that is over 40 years of hunting! One was the prez changing rules and breaking rules to fit his family. The other had the night hunting - but this FL club gav each member 2 sections that nobody could step in but you. The entire club was good land. I thought it would suck - but it actually best club i ever been in. Only you could screw up your own spot. Killed a 120s there which was that club 2nd biggest buck in there 22 year history and had the largest deer by far i ever had in front of me for 10-12 minutes - i made the mistake of getting in a climber in 25 mile hour winds. Never could get crosshairs on deer. Hunted that club 3 years

Example - one of sucky clubs i was in for 1 year. They had few bow hunters but club had tons of stands on a large power line. They were the type set up - you would be lucky to get a buck withing 50 yards of yourself to shoot - large fields w shooting houses. I asked the prez and VP - surely you guys do not hunt the powerlines before gun?? Oh no - not at all. So i got in! They hunted the crap out of them. Even had guys not hunt but just go and sit and watch!! Why are so many hunters so dang stupid!!!!!!! I said well - they want kill chit and scare every deer in God’s creation! Exactly what happened! Worst success of a club i ever been in. It got hunted every day and those guys had hunted every inch of that place hard before gun season ever opened. Heard comments - hey saw 12 point on power line. My immediate thought - well nobody gonna kille him now. Wish i woukd hav said - hey dip chit - how was that 100 plus yard shot gonna work with your bow?? 🤣🤣. And everybody wandered - why is nobody seeing deer once rifle season got there. I was well aware why - cause u stupid. I started hunting where folks did not hunt and started seeing lot of deer - even sat by gates close to main highway - saw deer - kept pie hole shut

Oh - and it was expensive - $2500 a decade ago. Youth day - we saw 2 of the scaredest deer of my life briefly on a powerline - was aware something was up - checked sign in book and also got back story. Place hammered evryday in bow - nobody kill nothing 🤣🤣. Well - i saw 12 on lowerline - i saw a 10 - i saw big 9. I was thinking - nobody gonna kill them now!! Bingo!!!!
Idiots - they were hoping for that .0001% chance that buck walk withing 30 yards if shooting house on that massive powerline field 🤣🤣

Heck - 1 of club i like mention above - stand check out time - member would ask me - is this a good spot i want to go to? Awesome spot sir - but - the wind is blowing directly across the field so horrible spit doe today! Yea - but i not gonna hunt much this year amd so i gonna go. Get back that night - i had 10 big doe come out and immediatly snorted and ran off! Wonder why?? Vintage hunting club dookie - happened countless times - and not with same member🤣🤣

And i got that type question all the time. Is this spot good to hunt today? I say No - but for this club - here are the 3-4 spots that are good w north wind. I will hunt one of these but u choose first. Invariably - they choose bad wind spot. All spots good - but 3-4 stands best or tad bettr. You know how many success stories i got over a decade on hunts like this from wrong wind huntin? 0000000000🤣

not many big deer killed here and it was not cause club did not hav them! And this club had rule - can only hunt the stand there already in an area
Atleast the turkey hunting was awesome. Type spot you could be tagged out in week to 10 days!!
