I am looking for a couple of new members to join my hunting lease in Hale county right outside of Greensboro.
I would like to preface this thread with a couple of talking points so please read the whole post:
There are two guys on here( I am hard pressed to remember their handles at the moment) but they are likely going to join, they are good guys and I am looking forward to having them
I am not pressed for willing members. I have some friends and family that are willing to join. But to be honest, I am not so sure that I wouldn't be better off going with participants that I don't know very well. Anyone who has ever managed a hunting lease can tell you pretty quickly that close friends and family can quickly form rifts over something like hunting
-I very much value unambiguous communication so I am more than willing to answer any questions you have and I would expect any potential new member to be forthcoming with what they expect to get out of the deal as a paying member on the lease
-I will be 100% transparent with you about any details of the land, why previous members left, behavioral expectations while you are on the property, context for how I came to have the lease, what the neighbors are like, etc. I commit to answering all question marks as thoroughly and transparently as I can.
-I would want you to tour the property, know what it is you are getting into before committing, and I would want to make sure we both know what to expect out of each other
A poor(but I reckon valid) comparison is a job interview. I am interviewing you, and you are interviewing me.
I would prefer to discuss property specific details over the phone or in person, so if you are interested in joining a club like this, then please PM and we can schedule a time to discuss

Definitely leave out friends and family. Too much of a headache. Sounds like you are a good club president. Good luck finding the right people.
