My son is quite a young man, trying to honor the Lord with his life and their relationship. The Lord is all over it too. Ill post something about it soon. Im pretty proud of what hes doing with his life. Wanting to give him what i never had. God is good, thats for sure. Been a good day too. Too much to talk about really.

I don’t know what your budget is but we did Portugal last year and it was awesome. Lagos and the Algarve. I don’t know what Hawaii would cost but I’d bet Portugal would be a lot less and a better trip.

$5k is about my limit. I would like yo be able to give them some spending $$$ and still stay within the $5k. My best friend is in some kind of vacation club. They have a week resort vacation theyre not using this year. I might just buy it from him and give them some cash to spend and buy their plane tickets. Im just mulling over my options at this point.

Just got back from Kauai, like someone posted. Delta vacation and flight in February is the cheapest time to go. $ 5000 for both.of us.

Been to the big island and had a lot of fun. It’s not all sand and it’s not super touristy. Been a long time since I went so no help on how to do it on the cheap now, but it’ll be cheaper than going to Maui or Honolulu. It’s really laid back and there’s tons of stuff to do that doesn’t involve the beach or shopping. That’s the place to go.

I’m sure this is the exact kind of useful information the OP was seeking….

You might want to consider a cruise to Hawaii. We have done several repositioning cruises the last few years. One from New York to Europe and another from Miami to Los Angeles through the Panama Canal.

You can save quite a bit of money on a repositioning cruise. Usually those are in the spring and the fall when they are moving ships from one hemisphere to the other.

Its almost like you know me personally. I love the cold brisk air. Makes breathing easier than feeling like a wet hot blanket is over your face. Give me 50' and below temps always.

Roatan is very affordable and can be there in 5-6 hours. Has beaches, the worlds 2nd largest barrier reef with amazing snorkeling right off the beach, mountains and great food options. We book off expedia and it is cheaper than anything else we have found. We are going back in May for 7 days 6 nights and for 4 of us staying at infinity bay resort is $3700 for all 4 in a 2 bedroom. . That includes plane fare from Pensacola on united. Just giving another option for your budget.

I have never been to Hawaii, but I really like the Carribean. Can be there in two hours from Atlanta. I was recently snorkeling during an ice storm back home beers

I'm a big fan of the all inclusive for honeymoon. No details to worry about, just sit around the pool/beach, eat and drink as much and as often as you want. My son is getting married in May and that's precisely how we went for him and his bride to be.

Thats what im thinking. Im hoping my best friend comes through. Thatll be the cheapest route for a really good honeymoon. Week stay at a resort. I think he said food was $30/day per person. Then the plane ride down there and back. Surely i can stay well under $5k for that.

My son lived in Honduras a couple of years and he went there a few times. It seemed really nice and affordable.
