Give the man credit. He caught an absolute sack today, given the conditions, and he did it throwing something absolutely nobody else was using. Who knows how he landed on that particular bait. Shocked at how shallow they were catching them given the water temps in the low 40s and ice in all the coves in the mornings. I liked it without the FFS.

The stores are probably out of those baits now. The fish will see a lot of curly tails this year.

We just got back from the weigh in. Aside from the rain, this was a fun event to attend.

It’s sad to see all the haters on social media throwing shade on this young man for “scoping and hoping”. If it’s so easy, I don’t understand why all the keyboard cowboys aren’t doing it. People are assholes.

Its easy if you have the time to learn to do it and the time to go to the lake constantly to stay on the fish as they move almost daily. The college fishermen dominate most tournaments this time of the year because they fish everyday in their $100,000 boats then share what and where they caught fish with everyone else on the fishing team. Then come saturday all of them know where the fish have been all week so they start on them while working guys have to find them to compete. The social aspect is huge, I am a good scoper I win lots of tournaments this time of year but have been beaten by the college crew multiple times because the fish moved a mile and by the time I found them 6 or 8 college boats had been on them for hours. Us old dudes dont tell friends and team mates where the fish are like the college guys do

Public land hunting is same way. Multiple guys scout and work “together” save spots for others etc etc. I ain’t throwing shade at em, just hard to compete with 8 guys scouting versus me scouting.
