If I only wanted to hunt it, I would clear at least 2 acres for a food plot somewhere near the center. Build a shooting house that you can access without spooking the deer if they are on the plot. Put a feeder in the back of the plot about 25 yds, off the wood line and feed all year. Let it grow up in natural regeneration and leave it alone. Creeks usually have some hardwoods that will draw deer in the fall. Food, water, shelter and solitude. Plant hard and soft mast trees. I have been doing this on 55 acres for a long time, and it doesn't happen overnight' but it has worked well for me.
