How about Pita Stop in Cahaba Heights—not too far. They have a great lunch special with salad/rice/meat if your choice/humus

Complete horse shit.

BTW, the Fish Market Hoover has always had the best steak to me. Never had a bad one there. Never had a bad meal there. Never had bad service there.

There are others that are decent. But that's where I go when I want a steak. Sawgrass is 2nd.

There's no shortage of places to eat that are great in Hoover.

I don't usually go to a fish place to eat a steak. That just goes to show you never know which dish may be the best. I will keep that in mind though, may have to try them, which steak? I expect GOOD SEAFOOD when I go to a seafood place and if I have to go downtown to get it I will, I reckon. I was really surprised with the Half Shell over in Pelham a few months ago. Had the lemon aioli Mahi Mahi blackened. Don't know which chef cooked that fish that day, but I should have found out. Had a nice lunch meal on my birthday with my son there. Sawgrass, no thanks. Ate at the one in Hoover when it first opened, paid for one of the higher priced steaks, no good, overpriced. Just tough to consistently get quality food. Even downtown Fish Market wasn't as good last time I ate there, portions got smaller on the blackened flounder plate too and price may have gone up again. Not even sure they have the same owners now? I don't try to go eat much due to the $$, except on special occassions, but when I do I expect good food. Usually leave a good tip if the food is good, even with mediocre service.Too each there own.

Well, he didn't ask about cost. He asked about good. We ate sawgrass yesterday. Completely satisfied with the meal. Never had a bad one there. But we all know sometimes bad experiences happen. It was packed and we got the last table. Waitress was fantastic too. We went as a fall back when the Cajun place I picked had a 30 minute wait. I don't wait for seating. Ever. Not with the number of choices we have in Hoover.

Fish Market only has one steak to my knowledge. Ribeye, medium or medium well. I don't care much for seafood. I'll eat it, but given the choice I'll choose just about anything else.

I have noted since Covid that portions have went down as prices go up. Everything is that way now.
