Kyle,
I like a dirt hole set for coyotes. Plenty of online videos on how to make the sets. #1 most important is to get the trap bedded solid. It cannot move if they step on the edge!. I bought a drill bit that fits in my cordless drill for making the holes and it works good. Get those holes at least 12-15 inches deep. You don't want a shallow hole they can reach in and get the bait and not have to work and step around to get on the trap. You can get coyote lures and urine off the internet, but you may be able to use beaver meat as bait. I found that putting a little canned dog food in the bottom of the holes helped me. I use the ground up kind not the kind with chunks and gravy. Too much will catch every possum around. If you have time make some dirt holes and bait them and then go back and put traps on the ones that get hit. Just make sure your dummies look just like the real ones. Another good thing is to pick up any old coyote scat and use that as a lure around your traps too. Caught several using the turds as an attractant. Old ones work just fine too.
Don't give up, don't ever give up!

I use super stakes for all but 2 of my anchors. Bought a coyote starter kit and that was the anchors attached to them
I have a 2” auger bit for my drill to make dirt holes

Just seeing the questions kyles. Wade had great advice. I prefer chain earth anchors but use some cable ones. The wolf fangs bend to easy in rocks for my liking. I use the 2 inch augers in my drill also for dirt holes sets. About any feed store, Ace hardware or even Marvin's has them. I like to drill them atleast 12 to 15 inches deep. Deep enough they have to work the set without being able to easily get the bait

Im going to drags more than stakes now. I use 10 to 12ft of chain and pre-wrap them around some brush or trees. Its just alot faster and makes pulling them alot easier. Only down side is the weight. Still use anchors in open fields though

Bottom, I usually put my lure into the side of the hole. Far enough down nothing tries to roll in it. I quit using sheep's wool or anything like that. Attracts to many mice and squirrels for me. They like to use it for nesting material

Tried to work with young folks yesterday. Did not want to embarrass myself by not keeping up. Been on a heating pad and taking muscle relaxers since last night. Next time I work for them I am taking a folding chair and directing
