Gomer, Oates will say and do anything. Its been the rule for ever that if you go through the NBA draft and sign a contract you're done with college.
As for any punishment for playing an ineligible player; the Tuscaloosa judge ruled ineligible but NCAA is not allowed to punish in any way. My point is there is obviously some sort of loophole that is being taken advantage of....a quick google search indicates there are several players currently playing college basketball, despite having previously declared for the draft, and playing in Europe and/or in the NBA G-League. So, serious question.......what makes Bediako's situation different than all those others currently playing college basketball after playing professionally, elsewhere? Why is he getting so much air time? There are at least 38 international professional players on college rosters, it’s a mess
