Hope everyone had a great season. It was one of my best, tagged out which is a first, freezer is full so can’t complain. 8 more months of waiting now.

One of my best seasons ever even though I never squeezed the trigger on a good buck in Alabama. Killed 2 does in Alabama and a nice 10pt here at home so I have all the meat we need. Just the sheer numbers of deer I saw this season was crazy. Hopefully we have a strong carryover and have another great season next year.

One of the best season’s we’ve ever had, without question. Overall deer sightings were lower than normal, but buck activity was definitely higher. Should have high reproduction this summer. A lot of deer made it through in NW AL.

I had a great season. My son killed the best buck we have ever seen on our place. I killed a nice 8 point on my lease. We scouted a piece yesterday that we didn’t hunt this year and found a ton of sign. Life is good.

I ended up with two does in the freezer without pulling the trigger. Lots of summer sausage for lunch!!!

I’m curious if the acorns had had em super spunky this year.

Great season. Never connected with the big six point although I did see him in daylight he didn’t present a shot for me. Got two does and saw tons more and some young bucks.

I'd give my season an 8 out of 10. 4 deer taken 2 bucks and 2 doe's. Didn't connect on the 2 best bucks but there's always next year.

Killed one doe and saw 14 bucks. Four of the bucks were borderline shooters. Anxious to see what they are next season.

Very true TC. There will be a bunch shot over the next 2-4 weeks in south central AL, leading up to turkey season and once everyone gets out of the woods and the 500,000 corn slinging feeders run dry. They'll be starving trying to recover from the rut and wont be much in the woods to eat. If you've got the only corn pile in the area, well.....it's pretty easy shootin'. Outlaws are going to outlaw. I've still got acorns on the ground and I'm hoping that it keeps my survivors from having to wander off looking for carbs. We run a bunch of cams and have a bunch of good deer every year that we know make it through end the season in good shape, that simply disappear and never show back up again.

Good season and I saved almost $500 in AL nonresident hunting license fees plus hunting club dues hunting in FL at home. Final tally 2 nannies, 1 6 point and a hog. May have to shoot one tonight if the hogs come in. Heat may nix that idea. Had to put AC on it got so hot. Heck I can hunt until 2/22 but the freezers are almost full. Got my supply of summer sausage jalapeno summer sausage and deer bologna to keep me in sammiches for the year. Left enough room for a gobbler or a hog in spring or summer. rofl

I think I hunted a total of 3 hours. Just too busy at work and spent most of my free time planting trees and working on habitat, which I enjoy more than hunting these days.

Any season is a good season if you get to go. If you had work or deployments that took you away from entire seasons, you'll understand.
