My Horror Fraught Bauer 20volt throws an impressive beam but also has a lot of spill which is usefull. Requires the purchase of battery and charger seperate though. Already had them so it was a no brainer to give it a try when I needed one. Has worked well more than a year now.

I will add that the ability to change out batteries when one croaks has saved my butt from being in the middle of a swamp looking for a lost goat with a cell phone light. Rechargeables die and your done until you can get to a charger. If the battery just wears out from so many charge cycles many of them are landfill material. So it kinda depends on what you need for your purpose. Pets in the back yard or serious 'gotta have a light' work play into it.
