Do yall remember Rustys sporting goods ? They were up the road a ways back when Marks first opened Yes, my dad bought my first rifle there. Mine too brother. Ruger M77 in .270. Got it for Christmas in 1981 when I was 12 years old. Life changing moment for a young man. I think location matters, but it wouldn't be a good idea to get the public feeling like they were not good enough to shop there. Really want to turn a tire kicker into a life long customer. I like to pretend to be a tire kicker!

I really enjoy stopping at Marks every chance I get on my travels back South. I was there in September on a Saturday and I was shopping for holsters for my 38, 9mm and 22long. I found several that I liked and the sales representative said that I was more than welcome to take them to my truck where my pistols were and try them out. So I did. I don’t know of many stores, if any that would let a total stranger do this. I was wearing shorts and a tee shirt and crocs. lol

I really enjoy stopping at Marks every chance I get on my travels back South. I was there in September on a Saturday and I was shopping for holsters for my 38, 9mm and 22long. I found several that I liked and the sales representative said that I was more than welcome to take them to my truck where my pistols were and try them out. So I did. They were probably watching out the window and knew you couldn't out run them in Crocs.

Did a lot of business at Mark's when I was a young guy, they always treated me well and I certainly wasn't rich. The only negative thing I remember from there is a rich looking dude in a suit was holding a rifle and looking through the scope pointing it all over the place INCLUDING me! Told the dude to cut it out and quit aiming at people! What a damn idiot!

I rarely ever shop at Marks but I was treated better by Mark and his dad better than some of his employees . But some were ok just my experience

Maybe the new owners will do something about their snooty employees that can’t be bothered to assist a customer unless it’s one of their buddies or they look like a doctor or lawyer I know some employees are like that, but Rambo at the knife counter isn't like that.

I've always been treated okay in there. But I didn't go in there to talk--I knew what I needed, and I bought it. I don't go to a store to browse. But I seem to always get stuck behind folks that do that at Sam's Club. Go in, buy what I need, and move on. Folks always answered my questions in Marks and got the product I needed. They may have higher prices on stuff, but they had most things in-stock.
They've had an incredible business for decades. It always seems busy in there.

Mark was an awesome guy. More than once he went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of and even once met me on the Interstate after hours to get me something that I had to have. I've been shopping with Marks since I was kid and have only had one negative experience in all that time and Marks daughter made it right before me and the sales guy could get too fired up about it.
Wonderful store and family. I'd hate to know how many thousands of dollars I've dropped in there over the years.
