You can almost hear the echo!

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

54.6 pounds. Heck I did not even notice the door d-cal till my grandson laughed at it. But it is actually a hidden message because I have been guilty of rattling windows. Actually it means beaver control with tnt if necessary. And another plus nobody can't say I copied their company name . Dang union workers probably. I wore my 15 year old Carhartt jacket today with my good zipper warm as toast

The guy that bought the farm next door said when I caught a huge one. After he called a few taxidermists 1400 was the cheapest one. I think he changed his mind

There I go not proof reading again. When I caught a big one he wanted to have it mounted. I started to say mount it but it sounded inappropriate

County called me about that culvert Monday evening said they had it on schedule for a back hoe next week. I told them I would leave right then and looked at it. You could not even tell there was a culvert there until you went to the drain side and looked straight back across the road. I took my tater rake and slowly dug the sand and mud back till I uncovered it. I then took my big pronged one and had to dig 5 foot of sticks and leaves and silt out of the culvert. Then when you get it rolling you rake your mud and silt slowly back in then it goes down stream. It was getting dark so I set 2 traps. Went back Tuesday evening in the rain and it was packed full again and traps tripped but no beaver. Where I screwed up was not digging all the silt they sweep in with their tale out and then move out 3 more feet to the drop off. Anyway I took my time Tuesday evening in the rain and finished at 7 o'clock by headlamp.Moved the 4 traps out this time and made a semicircle. I have on chest waders and a rain coat bent over and a big ford king ranch roles by then comes back and stops on the road. He says hey buddy I seen your sign and finally figured out what your doing. He said I just bought a farm above this and wandered if you would come up and help me trap. Now you got to understand it's 7 o'clock I am cold wet and hungry and ready to go home. I said yessir I will be glad to but I can't make it this week. He says I will just take a picture of your sign and call you. lol honest truth. Anyway if you have any kind of private business and do people honest you will stay covered up. Hoping to get caught up this week because bassmasters are at goosepond this weekend and I am shure they don't my old redneck butt strolling through all them high dollar boats with my crossbow at night. If you ever need advice on beavers just pm me or james

I'm glad to see you in a good mood and with some humor. That is a big beaver, Kyle. I watch the Yawt Yawt catch them beavers on YouTube. I bet y'all would make a great pair.

I'm confused. School me. I have no problem with varmit control. But what's the issue with Beavers in general? You don't want them to modify your water ways?

I've watched videos where they have released them in areas they'd been hunted to extinction and they made huge impacts on the environment, all positive.

I get bobcats, coyotes, racoons. But a bit confused on the beaver thing.

I work for Jackson County road department. They stop up culverts and water goes over the road. At goosepond they are hollowing out the styrofoam docks and making their lodges in side . I get paid to kill them. Works for me

I only get 40 hours a month for the county. They caused county road 4 up in paint rock valley to almost wash plum out because they built a huge dam below the culverts it had backed up so bad there was 2 acres flooded and then it backed over the road. I use to wander about the condition of the county roads till I found out there was 1200 miles. They have a lot of potholes to worry about. The old man I am going to today has a probably 400 yard long driveway through the bottoms up to his house. The beavers had stopped up all his culverts and he had spent a fortune on gravels to resurface the top at least once or twice a year. I snatched block a tire through all of them starting 2 years ago and tried to keep and eye on them after catching probably 40 in 2 years ,they are back this past week with a vengeance. It seems sometimes you will go months after cleaning them out till some more show back up. Every farm on either side of mine is either owned or leased by duck hunters. They wanted it all flooded for the winter which affects mine. We will start pulling all the boards out tomorrow. I want it dry by turkey season because that is my passion

I've seen them gird and kill every hardwood tree in a 20 acre lowland, thats a lot of timber. They had started building a dam on the low end of the area before we found it and got rid of them. Had they built that dam, that 20 acre area would be a lake.
