Of those two , .280 AI . If you wanta step it on up, 7mm PRC. 280ai will give you nearly identical velocities to the 7prc with 10 grains less powder. I think you're mixing up 7PRC with 7Mag. 280ai is nipping right on the heels of 7 mag, but unless you're doing some way off book handloading, it's still a couple hundred fps behind the 7PRC Correct. And "with 10 grains less powder ", with the same weight bullet , if I saw it , I still wouldn't believe it. Shooting a 150gr eldx peterson brass 24" barrel I've gotten 3040 fps with 54 gr n550 Most accurate load was 51.7 gr n150 at 3020fps sd 1.8 4831sc accurate but slow. 4350 decent speed but meh groups. I don't have any experience loading for 7prc but the factory eldx loads claim 3100 fps and that's a whole other ball of wax... saw where some guys where getting around 2800+
