The locals weren’t the ones that got put to sleep, it were white members. I never had a problem with locals black nor white because they knew I could be a super bad neighbor and I speak their language.
I grew up in some trashy places from being a Dog River Rat, Delta poacher, Alabama Village, Maysville, Baldwin Co, Mt Vernon…
White Trash Hell I can dish out !
If I got scolded back in the day for poaching someone’s land, I burned it to ashes !

Never kicked out of one but was in a club with a 6pt or better and every original member that "accidentally" shot the "wrong" deer were excused from paying the club fine for shooting a lesser deer. Pissed me off so bad I shot a forky and quartered it out in the swamp and put in my hunt pack I used in Alaska lol. Those guys were literally standing next to my truck clueless that deer was there. I left and never went back other to grab a few stands I left.

Never been kicked out before, but have got even. Shitty run clubs with asshole presidents. Didn't know i was getting my money, with deer they didn't know about, still don't. Some clubs suck, after you pay the dues. Then the turds show up and show out. Knowing you're not getting back in, changes my look at look at those. Was in a club when I was younger, I'd still love to be in. Just to far, and not enough time now. Great group of men.
Love a good hunting story, love my family and friends. Some people you can't, but acted like do.

Didn't get thrown out but myself and another guy both shot two nice bucks during the season and the other guys not much. The following year got a letter saying they were doubling the dues (which they knew a young guy like me couldn't afford) and were cutting the number of members in half. Well turns out me and the other guy were the only ones who got that letter they just increased the dues enough to make up for both of us and had two fewer members. Those guys never killed shat out of there cause they just sat on greenfields in bad winds and didn't know how to hunt. It was some good property if you knew how to hunt. They were just jealous and pompous asses.

Yall should name the club and area that yall got kicked out of. I think I know the one BC is taking about, but manage a guy some trouble down the road. I’ve quit a club or two, but never got kicked out. Know a few guys that have been over same BS yall taking about. Killed good bucks and guys didn’t like it. Chit, I thoughts what hunting club was made for, killing bucks….

Didn't get asked to reup the following year from a club a long time ago. Was a new member and no one hunted bow season there except me and I shot a small buck with my bow. Got accused of poaching it with a gun as these guys didn't think it was possible to shoot a buck with a bow. Showed them the bloody arrow the next week and they still didn't believe me...........Crazy stuff. Those guys would roll in opening day and walk all over the place and shoot it up and it wasn't worth a crap the rest of the season, friggin idiots.

😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 Johnny I take it You wouldn't do well if You joined a club only to find out there's (Private Areas) You can't hunt after You paid the Money😂😂..Would You just burn i down?Ha I can tell you about a particular 1500 acres of Alabama family land and the Alpha male supremacist that establishes rules that others follow and I don’t partake in 🤣😂🤣😂🤣 Dufus instituted a “sanctuary” of sorts, about 300 acres of safe space for the deer, ITS ONE OF MY FAVORITE HUNTING SPOTS. 🤣😂🤣 I don’t participate in “managing” an area that isn’t even known for trophies like other states and I also don’t believe in berating a kid for shooting something smaller than a supremacist has dictated…Fugg Em ! I can tell you when Bama went to baiting deer and the extra fee for that, I tore down some feeders too. Wonderfully my push back has made it to where when I show up I have the whole place almost to myself. 🤣😂🤣😂 Luckily Great Grandpa had a sense of humor and ownership is under so many names they (we) will never come to an agreement to get rid of the property. We couldn’t come to an agreement on selling pea gravel and can barely agree on timber 🤣😂🤣😂

Mine was more of a mutual decision. The president wanted all members to text him if they were going hunting. And text after you left. This was back in the day where texting wasn't unlimited. I was driving from Trussville to down past Vance. First year, wasn't that big a deal, the second, I found out that some of the "spots" were by permission only. Then I started camping down there, so I was out in the woods before most of the guys got there. SO the texting changed to I needed to text him where I was, and when I got down, every time. I said no. He also wanted to know what we saw each sit. So I put out decoy stands, and started hunting just outside of where I said I was. The only game I ever saw was game I killed. And I dragged it a ways away from where I killed it to pick it up. It was actually pretty funny.
I was not invited back for the 3rd year. Ther first 3 clubs I was in up here, I was watched heavily. I got really adept at slipping around and not leaving tracks. I always stayed in the woods late in the evening, so if I killed something, no one would be at the sign in when I came in.

I got kicked out of one a few years ago. The President got pissed because I killed 2 really nice deer my first season. He also believed that he had personal areas on the club that were off limits to others. I disagreed😉. He stole one of my trail cams which I retrieved from his possession and also stole a ground blind of mine that was set up on a road he liked to hunt. Needless to say we had a interesting relationship that season. A year after I left the lease holder somehow decided he wanted to pull the lease from him. I have no idea how that happened 🤔🤔🙃

I always got excited when somebody killed a big stud in a club - not jealous! I'm the same way, when someone kills a nice deer I'm happy for them and ready to celebrate. Unfortunately, there are those that tie their manhood to hunting and make it some sort of macho contest where if some other guy kills a nice buck they are losing somehow. Drag a goodun into camp and watch faces and body language, because you can pick them out easy. Some of you may have seen the thread I posted a week and a half ago regarding my wife's first buck. She and I had been hunting another deer for a couple of days and he was a little nicer than the one she wound up taking. The day after we left camp heading home, my buddy that I hunt with went into the area where the deer was hanging out and shot him on the first morning. I didn't feel the slightest twinge of jealousy, and I know a lot of guys who would be pissed and eat up with jealousy if they were in my shoes due to all the hours we put on him and then my buddy goes in there and kills him in an hour. He got the right East wind and was in the right place at the right time. That's not a loss for me, and good on him for killing a good buck. I was proud for him.

I was in a club for 1 year many years ago - killed an avg 8 because 1 of the members said go to such and such spot. After i killed he raved and carried on how he was my guide. I just agreed and laughed and carried on with him. It was fun.
Weeks later - i strongly sold him on a spot - told him to go there - bigun just shot there a hot doe is there and he was like - u talked me i to it! He shot a monster - scored 142. Seemed fitting - i tried the same thing on him! He got super pissed and would not say anything with really angry face. I tried putting myself in his shoes and kept coming back with - i think i would act the same as i did with my average 8 - laugh and joke with him. I just shut up and tried to figure him and wondered - did he want everybody to think he some great hunter?? I kept coming back to in my mind - i would just be happy - hunters can be very childish
