Just a funny poll, but of all the characters in that successful movie, who do you think was the most impressive character and why? Not the acting, but the actual character? Maverick? Phoenix? Rooster? Hangman? Someone else? Maybe those who served in the aviation world will think the same as I do. I have my answer, but will wait. LOL

I didn't care for it, so I really don't remember any of the characters and only vaguely remember Tom Cruise's character.

Movies like that typically aren't much on character development. I much prefer series like Breaking bad or Lonesome Dove. Those types of shows are much better at character development than CGI action movies like Mission Impossible, Star Wars, Top Gun, etc...

I like Tom Cruise in most movies, even though he basically plays "Tom Cruise" in every movie, he still has a way of making you want to be whatever character he plays in that particular movie and that is a skill that a lot of actors don't have.

Penny Benjamin (Jennifer Connelly) was pretty “impressive” if you ask me……

I had to side with Hondo. I mean for a CW-4, that character was handling Mission Ops for the Darkstar program. Then for reasons unknown, he follows Mavericks coattail to assist with the Top Gun Teams high-stakes mission to knock out the uranium site. Then if that's not enough, he gets out on the carrier flight deck and orchestrates and directs various operations for aircraft recovery. That man can do it all!! grin

It was poorly acted, to me. I guess Penny and Tom. I could vote for that P-51.

For a sequel it was bettr than most and big hit at box office - bettr than i expected. The first may years back was very popular so its commin for the next to be big thud. Box office or reviews did not think so and neither did i! It was pretty good! Never thought about acting job but Cruz did good. He done well in many films

Unapologetically pro-American. No woke bs. Love story between a biological man and a biological woman. Exciting and fun.

What's not to like?

I was in an infantry unit one time that had a CW-4 that the CO would rely heavily on his input. I thought that it was odd but then again I paid more attention to what my first sergeant said.
