We've been using Ally for: Money Market savings which has been paying 3.3%. CD's which have been paying 4%. Investment accounts (Other than our 401k's) which I was able to do really well on. Investing at Ally is really easy and it is a cinch to move money back and forth from them to the other Ally accounts and from there to Regions, which we have banked at for years for our day to day stuff.

Ally is not just some start-up, fly by night internet bank. They were formerly known as GMAC (General Motors Acceptance Corporation) so they have been around for a while.

I’ve been happy with ally money market account. Had it a couple years and it is better than letting your money sit in a savings account and is insured. Also can deposit up to $50,000 per day and have a debit card and check book I can pull from 10 times per month.

And if it's a joint it is FDIC insured for $250k per person, so $500k for a joint account.

I actually direct deposit a little into my account every pay day, and then invest it in some mutual funds. It helps when the market is up, not so much when its down, but the MMA earns interest every month.

FIDELITY all day.
There MM paid a little less than US T-Bills last year.
We use Fidelity to move money in and out of 4 week T-Bills to avoid paying any state income tax. It's where we park money for investing or large purchases like our daughter's wedding. https://www.aldeer.com/forum/images/icons/default/cry.gif
Check Warren Buffet's take on short term T-Bills. Man's got like 385,000,000.00 sitting in them for when the market adjust and bargains become available.
Good Customer Service if you call them on the phone too.

Banks dont hold cash anymore. Despite the mint printing billions of actual paper bills the banks dont keep enough on hand at any one time so they can restrict withdrawals.

They asked me all kinds of questions. What I did for a living, what I was doing with the money……it was crazy.

Awww hell especially ifn ya wanna deposit cash! They aren't even leaving out deposit slips at the PNC, and wanted two forms of id for me to deposit CASH in my account, them sumbitches have their heads so far up the Feds ass it isn't even funny! I had few choice words, and I'm gonna move accounts, but where do i go? I've already closed em years back at Army & Navy (all in one or whatever they're called now) cause they got to be not worth it either, this is frustrating, these folks are playing with our money, but got us by the Balls, never should've gotten this way, and we're all to Blame smdh. Especially folks that don't even carry a dolla bill on ya & just rely on plastic or some damn app for errrrrrrything 😏

Simple statement to bankers when they ask questions, "Its for My business". Emphasize MY and smile!
Then they ask what kind of business are you in.
"Its just My Business". and smile. "Thats what its called. My Business".

Yep. 2 forms of ID just to deposit. Then I wanted it wired to my investment account with Morgan Stanley……….why? We have investment accounts….

Bask Bank
HYSA paying 3.7% and it only takes a day to transfer to my local bank.

We use a digital banking service called Raisin for our HYSA. They have a group of partner FDIC insured banks where custodial accounts are set up. We are getting 3.85-4.0% across 3 different banks. 24 hour turn around on withdrawals straight into our regular checking and savings accounts.
