You could open a Fidelity account and link it to your main bank account, and deposit into one of their money market accounts. It will pay better interest, because its basically a government backed security.
It's the default fund when you open the account and fund it. You can transfer back and forth, although not is fast as if the money is in the same bank as your bank account. I think mine does next business day.
I actually direct deposit a little into my account every pay day, and then invest it in some mutual funds. It helps when the market is up, not so much when its down, but the MMA earns interest every month. FIDELITY all day. There MM paid a little less than US T-Bills last year. We use Fidelity to move money in and out of 4 week T-Bills to avoid paying any state income tax. It's where we park money for investing or large purchases like our daughter's wedding. https://www.aldeer.com/forum/images/icons/default/cry.gifCheck Warren Buffet's take on short term T-Bills. Man's got like 385,000,000.00 sitting in them for when the market adjust and bargains become available. Good Customer Service if you call them on the phone too.
