Higgins joined Mars Hill Bible School during the football program's infancy, stepping into the head coach role in just the program's third season. In 2017, he guided the Panthers to their first-ever playoff appearance. One year later, that momentum culminated in a storybook state championship, setting the tone for a program that would become one of the most successful in Alabama high school football.
