How hard is it to replace seals. My old motor is leaking. And got to get it fixed for the river swamp deer asap.
Any special tools or just replace like take apart ?

My phone screen does not always work right, usually a lot of misspelled words....

It was a little touchy getting the seals out of my 300 Yamaha. I put a screw in it to pull it out. You just can not scratch the aluminum around it or it’ll leak forever. I bought a tool to pull my hub with. I tried every trick I could look up to no avail. The puller I bought worked perfect.
This is Aldeer! The place people come to vent their frustrations and completely change their stance a few minutes later...

I have a 40 hp Johnson bombardier 2003.
My float was stuck. Said it was extra gas seeping out the foot.
I guess we will see. It was blacker than I thought the lower unit oil was.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Gas leaking down from the carbs will clean all the carbon from the lower unit. It sure looks like gear oil, but it’ll fool you. I
