Anyone got the list. All I know is 5a region 8 list. No 7A and private schools separated to their own classification

I haven’t seen it out anywhere yet but I do know that they separated public and private. I guess all the poor county schools will have to whine about the rich city schools beating them now.

Brantley is going to need a bigger gas budget next year.

Good News: Tuscaloosa County is no longer a 7A school
Bad News: That's because 7A is just now called 6A and it's the same exact division/region it was before

Never understand how they come up with these regions. We are a 2A and we drive 10 minutes down the road right by another 2A school they put in another region to continue for another 1 hour and 45 min to a school that is in our region.why? Make it make sense. Shouldn't the schools that are close to each other be paired and then reach out to the other schools to fill out the region?

Cleveland and JB Pennington. Both 2A 10 minutes away from each other. We will go right by there to go to Lamar county nearly 2 hours away

I guess that dividing line has got to be somewhere but yeah that’s an odd place to put it.

In the Class 2 Private Schools I think that every year, at least for a while you will have Madison Academy, Briarwood, and perhaps Mars Hill Baptist from the North and the south region will be one of the Mobile area schools. The Central area still has a lot of the AISA schools and while some are good they just can't compete with the bigger private schools.
I tend to think that Briarwood will dominate pretty much unless a school pops up like John Carrol. It's a bigger private school but they've been playing in the public division for so long I tend to forget about them.

I also think that some of the middle AL schools that left AISA to play AHSAA will be looking to go back to AISA now. Pretty sure they will be welcomed back. The more teams the stronger the whole league is, athletically and financially.

I assume the powers that be were hating on Mars Hill FB program. It’s new program basically as they didn’t like violent sports back when. That’s what they’d always said at our church growing up. I think we raised more money for that school than other things. I know mars hill get lots of funding elsewhere now. The Mars Hill coach is headed to Russellville and several players are transferring too
So what really changed besides who gets to play who and when.

Brantley is going to need a bigger gas budget next year. You must not have looked at us. Closest region team is an hr and d the rest are a hard 2 to 2 1/2 hrs.

Well for 1, they have taken the chance for a team to win a legit state championship away. “All the teams in group B win too much so let’s put them in a different league so that our kids can win some too” that’s how people raise their kids nowadays. Everyone should get a trophy.
